- 1 lemon rind twisted in half
- 1/2-ounce maple syrup (optional)
- Angostura bitters (around 2 to 3 drops)

Use a kitchen torch to ignite the lemon or orange rind and set it in a glasses, representing the top for a minute or two to allow the flavors to blend. Remove the rind from the glass and run it down the rim before adding an ice cube.
After you've added a few drops of herbs, you should add the maple syrup. Add in the bourbon and mix well. Stir in the cinnamon stick and serve immediately.
